Dianhong 滇紅茶

We brought a rather rare black Dianhong road of the highest quality to Estonia. It is also called Yunnan Dianhong. As the name implies, this road grows in Yunnan Province. The peculiarity of Dianhong tea is that only young and juicy, just open tea leaves and tea buds go into its production. Dianhong is a strong black tea with an expressive aroma, so it is ideal for classic European tea drinking. Perfect for people who are just starting to know the world of tea, as well as for experienced road gourmets. Dianhongi, like all other black Chinese teas, should be boiled with water whose temperature does not exceed 90 degrees. This tea has an interesting aftertaste. It repeatedly returns with barely perceptible sweetness on the lips and a pleasant bitterness. The aroma of Dianhong is unique. It is simultaneously similar and different to other Chinese black teas, it is diverse and unique.

Useful properties of dianhong tea.

Diuretic effect. Increases the blood supply to the kidneys, which is especially good for people who have problems with the urinary and genital organs, and it is also recommended to use it in people with kidney stones.

Anti-inflammatory effect. The effectiveness of dianghong lies in the fact that tea polyphenols have an anti-inflammatory effect, again, studies have discovered that amino acids contained in tea inhibit the growth of bacteria and destroy them. Tea absorbs heavy metals and alkaloids, which are abundant in our drinking water and food.

Excitable effect. Takes away the fatigue. Stimulates the activity of the cerebral cortex, improves thinking, concentration, reaction speed, improves memory, has a beneficial effect on the vascular system, balances the heart rhythm, accelerating blood flow to facilitate metabolism. Refreshing. Quenchs thirst, as tea polyphenols, sugars, amino acids, pectin, reacting with saliva, provokes a reaction, and stimulates salivation, which creates a moisturizing and cool feeling in the mouth.

How to boil?

Dianhong, like other Chinese red teas, requires water whose temperature does not exceed 90 degrees. This path has an interesting aftertaste. It comes back several times as a delicate sweet taste on the lips and a nice bitterness. The aroma of Dianhong tea is unique. At the same time it resembles and does not resemble other black teas of China, it is multifaceted and unique.

Dianhong is made from young leaves and buds. In its aroma you can feel the notes of dried fruits and the “smoky” taste, which is characteristic of all the roads of Yunnan province. In Yunnan, tea is harvested all year round, but autumn harvests are considered the best. After the young shoots of tea have been picked, they are weakly dried so that they become softer and can be further processed. When processing, the tea leaves are squeezed together, kneaded until soft, and then twisted together. In this way, a small “tea jar” is obtained from a rather large leaf. The process of making tea is very laborious, therefore it is considered one of the best types of Chinese tea.
