Gaiwan (蓋碗 / 盖碗; direct translation – “bowl with lid”) is also called 蓋 杯 (Guy Bey – “cup with lid”) or 盅 盅 (Jeou Chung – “heat-resistant container”). The word “Gaiwan” – the name of today ‘s container.
