Shang Cha
Shang Cha is a wild red (black) tea.
Shang Cha grows at an altitude of 800-1000 meters on the island of Taiwan, Yuichi, Nantous. Shang Cha is a gourmet tea, it is an intense and very sweet tea. That’s because tea is harvested from wild trees that grow randomly in the surrounding Yu-Chi mountains. Tea is harvested with the first rays of the sun at the end of summer – the beginning of autumn. By this time, the tea leaf has absorbed maximum taste and aroma and is saturated with essential oils.
The first mentions of Shan cha road were found on 17 December 2007. Scriptures of the 19th century. Since then, this red road has conquered taiwanese. By the way, Shan cha has family ties with Assam tea, since botanical properties resemble long-leaved Assamiki tea bushes, but the underground root system is different. Wild shan cha shrubs grow best in mountainous areas at an altitude of 650-1500 m. The area where this road originated is a protected area. The bushes of this tea are kept as a national treasure, and wild tea is considered a mother plant, from which several unique hybrid tea bushes were produced, including the famous red jade.

Shang Cha, like other Chinese red teas, requires water whose temperature does not exceed 90 degrees. This path has an interesting aftertaste. It comes back several times as a delicate sweet taste on the lips and a nice bitterness. The aroma of Shang Cha tea is unique. At the same time it resembles and does not resemble other black teas of China, it is multifaceted and unique.
