Dong Ding means “cold peak.” This Taiwanese tea is a lightly fermented drink with a rich composition of vitamins and minerals. Therefore, it is not surprising that it is chosen by true connoisseurs of high-quality tea.

What is this?


Dong Ding Oolong from the “cold peak” is characterized by low light fermentation. In the XVII – XVIII centuries, tea pickers had to conquer a mountain 800 meters high. At this height, tea bushes were planted. After collecting the youngest tea leaves, farmers descended from the mountains. It was necessary to spend a lot of time on this, and the raw materials needed longer processing. In fact, this tea drink got its name due to a special collection procedure. In translation, it’s “up and down you.” Local residents realized that it is profitable to grow oolong, therefore they created their own small family plantings.

Today, taiwanese oolong collection is automated, although small-scale tea production is also developed in Taiwan today. Young dark green leaves are carefully roasted, and the tea leaves are rolled together, giving them a spherical shape. Thanks to this processing, the Taiwanese drink gets a pleasant baked aroma and excellent taste. And most importantly – it has unique properties, as it retains many healing trace elements.

The taste of Taiwanese oolong conquers from the first sip. It can be described as bright, thick, multifaceted, with piquant honey notes and a slight acidity of the berries. The tea bouquet is florally spicy and rich, leaving a long, nutty and fruity aftertaste. The aroma is intoxicating, with a slight smell of spices.

The medicinal properties of high-mountain tea drink make it unique. Dong Din Oolong tea has a rich composition of minerals and vitamins that have a beneficial effect on the human body, accelerates metabolic processes in the body and removes toxins. It also increases mental activity and relieves fatigue. Of course, this is not a complete list of useful properties.

How to boil?
